"NinetyQ" (NinetyQ)

Just wanted to share some pictures I took of my car a couple of weeks ago.
Background for those unfamiliar: it was my first car when I bought it 8 years ago. It's now 18 years old (one of the last '96s built, I think) and has 213,000 miles on it. The engine blew a month after I bought it. The transmission needed replaced too. Then wrecked it once when I was 17, but had it repaired (new bumper, bumper cover, and fender). Then some years later, the transmission needed rebuilt again. Then I lightly rear-ended a Tahoe, which bent the front-left quarter panel's leading edge badly, deformed a small part of the bumper cover and gently bent the leading edge of the hood down.
But through it all, I've always loved it irrationally. I shouldn't. It's a '90s GM FWD automatic Pontiac with body cladding. But somehow I just have to love it. I will keep it until either it experiences irreparable damage from a collision or until I die. Whichever comes first.

Thanks! It's what I love to do. Here's another car shot of mine (and gratuitous self-promoting link to my photography page):

Damn I am jealous of your skills! I wish I was this good with a camera, or had a camera as nice to shoot with!

Sir, that is one beautiful car. I love how it looks! Also, the fact that I see fewer blemishes in it's 18year old paint than I do on my 16 year old face impresses me deeply. Congratulations on keeping this Pontiac looking as nice as it did on the showroom floor back in 1996.

I always kind of liked those. I'm in no hurry to go buy one or anything, but, it was a big, 2 door car, that for the time was reasonably sporty. Let's not forget Pontiac "Excitement."

Thanks! It actually has quite a few small blemishes, but somehow photographed really well that day. It doesn't look showroom fresh up close, but it does still look great for its age and mileage.
